July 2, 2001 By admin

The owner of a Davenport restaurant was killed in a weekend car crash in his native Mexico.33-year-old Angel Moran died Friday when a vehicle passed him as he towed a trailer which flipped and caused his vehicle to flip. He was helping relatives move from Moline, Illinois, back to Mexico. He ran Jalapeno’s Restaurants in the Quad Cities.Authorities are still looking for a car with Iowa plates in connection with the death of an Illinois State Trooper. The vehicle is a rusty white G-M-made car with fake wire wheels. Master Sergeant Stanley Talbot was dragged four blocks by the car after it sped away from a safety check in Rock Island, Illinois, late last month. It’s also been reported a pursuing Rock Island police car ran over the trooper after he fell from the speeding car.
