Woman shot by Missouri Valley policeman

A policeman in Missouri Valley shot and killed a woman Saturday night. The bizarre case began when a neighbor called police, reportedly to complain the woman was having sex with a man out in her front yard. Officers arriving at the scene say they told the couple to go inside, and the woman ran in and came back out with a knife. Police say she ignored orders to put it down, cut her companion on the arm, then came toward an officer, who shot her. The man who’d been on the lawn with the woman ran away but police caught him a short time later.
