The Shenandoah softball team is hoping for a big finish to this season. Coach Lisa Connell’s team is 28-5 and Connell says the veteran pitching duo of senior Jackie Simpson and junior Jamie Brank has been one of the biggest factors. She says both pitchers complement each other when the need help.Connell says the defense behind the pitching has been outstanding. She says the entire infield has played well.On offense, Connell says her team has been getting balanced hitting. They’re batting just over .300. Connell says her team has lofty goals for the post season and they’ll be disappointed if they don’t make it.Shenandoah is currently ranked fourth in the class 2A in the latest softball poll from the Girls Union.
