Missing Lime Springs man found, Police says no foul play involved

July 9, 2001 By admin

Authorities say foul play is -not- suspected in the weekend discovery of the body of a northeast Iowa man who’d been missing several days. The body of 51-year-old Ronald Cassidy of Lime Springs was found by hikers on Saturday. He’d been reported missing by his family that same day but hadn’t been seen since July 5th. The Howard County Sheriff says a shotgun was found near the body and it’s believed Cassidy committed suicide.
