Two Iowa judges to be named to federal positions

Two Iowans are expected to be named to federal judicial positions today. Senator Chuck Grassley says U-S District Court Judge Michael Melloy of Cedar Rapids is expected to be promoted to the Eighth Circuit Bench, based in St. Louis.Also, West Des Moines attorney James Gritzner is expected to be named the U-S District Court Judge for Iowa’s southern district. Grassley recommended both Melloy and Gritzner to President Bush in April.
