West Union woman hopes to soon walk again

July 12, 2001 By admin

A former West Union woman hopes to soon walk again after a car accident earlier this year that ended in the amputation of both her legs below the knees. 18-year-old Lindsay Thomas spent five days trapped in her car before being found. She will have prosthetic legs fitted next week at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She hopes to be able to run, bike and wear tennis shoes again after the April crash that left her trapped in her car for nearly five days.
