Maquoketa Valley student killed in accident

August 14, 2001 By admin

A Maquoketa Valley High School student is dead after a motorcycle-truck accident in Delaware County near Dyersville. Authorities say 17-year-old Corey Bonert was killed Monday when his motorcycle crossed the centerline and hit an ice cream truck head-on. Bonert had just left an early-morning football practice. Counselors will be at the high school today to help students cope with the loss.
