Dignitaries from 55 countries are traveling Iowa this week, guests of Senator Charles Grassley. It’s the eighth “Ambassador’s Tour” Grassley has sponsored, and this one takes the foreign guests to 18 Iowa communities (Brooklyn, Coralville/Iowa City, West Branch, the Quad Cities, Burlington, Fort Madison, Mount Pleasant, Fairfield, Ottumwa, Oskaloosa, Eddyville, Pella, Knoxville and Indianola.) Grassley says he wants to show the visitors that Iowa has more than corn and beans to export.Grassley escorted the group through the Iowa State Fair yesterday. He says the Ambassadors learn of the friendliness of Iowans, and the diversity of our state’s economy.The group will spend tonight at private homes in Bettendorf.
