Iowan tries to make USGA cut

An Iowa golfer tees off tomorrow in the P-G-A Championship in Atlanta. Ken Schall is the head pro at Sunnyside Country Club in Waterloo. This will be his eighth appearance in a major tournament having played in the P-G-A five times. He has also played in two U-S Opens.Schall says to this point his favorite memory was his first U-S Open back in 1989. His goal is to make the cut for a major tournament.John Daly pulled a shocker in 1991 by winning the P-G-A Championship and Schall says that gives every player in the field the feeling they have a chance.
