Lost lizard returns to the fold in Davenport

August 21, 2001 By admin

He wasn’t exactly Godzilla, but a long lizard has been captured in eastern Iowa. The four-year-old iguana named Ziggy escaped from its cage after its owner moved within Davenport. The lizard was spotted sunning itself in a park several weeks ago but a search party couldn’t find it. Last night, a man saw the green creature looking back at him through his apartment’s window and managed to catch Ziggy.
