Officials seek answers in UNI student’s death

August 27, 2001 By admin

A freshman at the University of Northern Iowa was found unconscious in his dorm Sunday and later was pronounced dead at a Cedar Falls hospital. It’s still unclear what may’ve killed 18-year-old Kevin Reedy of Council Bluffs. An autopsy will be performed today by the state medical examiner. Reedy had complained of throat pain earlier in the evening. He was a resident of U-N-I’s Dancer Residence Hall, where he collapsed in the shower.
