Coe College football coach Erik Raeburn expects his team to be improved this season. The Kohawks were 6-4 in 2000, Raeburn’s first as head coach and finished fourth in the Iowa Conference race. Raeburn says a key this season will be turnover margin and he points to last year as an example. As they only turned the ball over 5 times in 6 wins and turned it over 20 times in the 4 losses.Raeburn says at this point, most of the experience is on defense.Coe starts conference play on September 15th against Upper Iowa.
