Project puts faith in the place of pills

A new eastern Iowa project puts more faith in prayer than pills to heal what’s ailing you.Davenport’s Visiting Nurse Association is launching the program to educate health ministry R-N’s to provide spiritually focused nursing care to churches and faith communities. The nurses won’t give medication, but will serve as patient advocates and health counselors, linking spirituality and health, to integrate the mind, body and spirit.
