Body of Clinton man found in Mississippi

September 4, 2001 By admin

The body of a 37-year-old Clinton man was found in the Mississippi River on Monday. It appears Ross Vining’s boat collided with another vessel.A fisherman passing on the Iowa side of the river discovered the body across from Cordova, Illinois. The two boats collided Saturday night. The boats had parted ways to make way for a barge and were supposed to get back together after the barge passed — but collided — and Vining apparently fell out. An investigation is underway.
