Jump-starting stopped human hearts is getting easier to do in Bettendorf. The Genesis Heart Institute, Physio-Control and the American Heart Association are donating five defibrillators to the city. They’ll go in the trunks of police cars and officers will be trained on when and how to use them. More of the devices will soon be donated to Bettendorf community groups, businesses and public venues.
