Iowa Senators react to violence

Iowa Senator Charles Grassley says America’s sense of security has been shattered.Grassley says Americans have been “snobbish” about being secure from terrorism on our continent, and he says we now have to realize we’re at war.Grassley says the coordination of the attack is unimaginable.Iowa’s other U-S Senator, Tom Harkin, says these “cowardly acts” will not be allowed to stand.Harkin says the coordinated attack raises grave questions about America’s spy network. He says it was obviously a well-coordinated attack and he’s surprised the intelligence community had no knowledge of the attack. He says that intelligence community is in for some tough questions.Harkin called from a private building near the capitol. He says they’ve been told to not congregate.
