Rockwell-Collins to cut workforce

Cedar Rapids based Rockwell-Collins announced it is cutting thousands of jobs worldwide.The company says it will eliminate about 15-percent of its workforce beginning Monday. That means trimming about 26-hundred employees from their total of 17-thousand. It’s not known how many of those cuts will come among the company’s 95-hundred workers in Iowa. The company says it has to make the cuts to stay competitive.
