Grinnell climbs to top of RI’s 3A football poll

There’s a new top-ranked team in class 3A in the latest Radio Iowa High School football poll. Grinnell moves up a spot to take over as the new top ranked team after previously top rated Harlan lost to Denison. Clear Lake is second, Creston is third, Oelwein fourth and Jefferson JSPC is fifth. Harlan falls to seventh. The other top ranked teams remain the same, West Des Moines Dowling leads in 4A, Iowa City High is second then its Bettendorf, Newton and Cedar Falls. Dike-New Hartford is top ranked in class 2A, Sigourney-Keota is second, Mount Vernon, Emmetsburg and Williamsburg complete the top five. Southern Cal is top ranked in 1A then its Aplington Parkersburg, West Lyon, Council Bluffs St. Albert and Hinton. Hubbard Radcliffe is top ranked in class a followed by Manning, IKM, Northwood-Kensett and Fredricksburg. The eight-man top five remains the same. Adair Casey is top ranked then its Sentral and Fenton, Aurelia, east Greene and Lamoni.
