Name released on Eastern Iowa accident victim

Authorities have identified a 23-year-old man killed in a construction accident at Interstate 80 and 280 north of Davenport. Davenport police identified the victim as Timothy Swanson of Clinton. Clinton was working for Lovewell Vanacker Fencing of Davenport on a bridge Monday morning when a load of guard-rail being carried on a machine hit him and he rolled down an embankment. The state’s investigating, but any citations could take six months to file.
