Snow is in today’s forecast for northwestern Nebraska, but forecasters in Iowa say none of the white stuff will make it this far. Gary Forster, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service office in Johnston, says it’s still strictly autumn in the Hawkeye State, not winter.Forster says Iowa still -could- get snow this month, but it’s not likely in the next several days. While temperatures tonight are expected to dip into the 20s and 30s across Iowa, no precipitation should be falling once it gets that cold. Forster says you may want to keep the snow blower on stand-by — or at least know where your shovel is located as getting snow is not unusual at the end of October.Highs are expected in the 50s with lows in the 20s and 30s statewide through Sunday.
