Hawks, Cyclones and Panthers face key football games

The Huskers have won 60 of their last 61 home games and Cyclone coach Dan McCarney says the early stages of the game will be crucial. McCarney says with a few mistakes you can get steamrolled early. He says the Huskers stay focused as good as any team, even if they get a big lead.McCarney says the Cyclones need to tune out the surroundings and realize they’re playing the team, not the crowd.McCarney says while the passing of Wallace has been impressive the Cyclones need to find some success on the ground.The Northern Iowa Panthers look to go 2-0 in the Gateway with a visit to Southwest Missouri State. U-N-I coach Mark Farley says like the Panthers the Bears have been able to establish a ground game.Farley says the Panther offense has quickly developed balance as they spread the ball all over the field to the tight ends and the receivers. He says they take what the defense gives them and that makes them hard to defend..
