Baby Dinos Bring Thunder of Little Feet

October 6, 2001 By admin

Big dinosaur exhibits have appeared at museums in many Iowa cities in recentyears, but a new “baby” dinosaur show opens today at the Science Centerof Iowa in Des Moines. Organizers say it contains a prehistoric playgroundof cuddly creatures with enhanced robotics and digital sound. Kay Hyde, marketing director for the Science Center, says one unusual aspect of thisbaby dinosaur exhibit is that kids can actually control one of the roboticcreatures. The three-thousand-square-foot exhibit includes four Mosozoic(mez-oh-zoh’-ik) scenarios, following the growth of dinosaurs from eggs toinfants. The exhibit will be in Des Moines through early January.
