Harkin calls for Healthier Public Health System

October 8, 2001 By admin

Iowa U.S. Senator Tom Harkin says it’s clear the nation’s public health system needs shoring up, to deal with chemical or biological terrorist attacks. Harkin held a “town hall meeting” Monday morning at a Des Moines hospital to talk with Iowa health professionals about preparing for bioterrorism.
