Minnesota Boy Rescued from Iowa Cave

A Minnesota teen is swearing off spelunking after a bad experience innortheast Iowa. 16-year-old Andy Wernimont, of Byron, Minnesota, got stuckin the “V” of a cave Saturday afternoon at Skunk Cave, near Cresco. Rescuershad to build a bridge to get to Wernimont, who was extricated after aboutten hours. He was treated at the scene and sent home with his father andpromises never again to go exploring caves.
