Bluder begins second season at Iowa with new expectations

October 10, 2001 By admin

After a surprising season in which they won the Big Ten post season tournament, the expectations are higher for the Iowa women’s basketball team this season. Second-year coach Lisa Bluder says there is a different feeling as the Hawkeyes get set to open practice. She says they’ve gone form hoping they would win, to expecting they will win.
Bluder says last year’s team improved because of a demanding schedule. This year’s team will have the same opportunity.
Iowa opens November 20th against Marquette in the Great Alaska Shootout.
