An off-week was unkind to the Michigan State football team. The Spartans lost two defensive backs to injuries a week ago and coach Bobby Williams says they are scrambling to find replacements before Saturday’s Big Ten matchup with Iowa.
Williams says Jason Harmon and DeMario Suggs suffered broken ankles days apart in practice. He says both had been playing very well. He says they’ve had to move some guys around to fill the gaps.
Last year Iowa upset the Spartans for their first victory of the season. Williams says the players know they play an even better team this week.
