Wartburg looks to stay in Iowa Conference hunt at Coe

October 11, 2001 By admin

In Iowa Conference football action this weekend, Wartburg takes a 3-1 league mark on the road to Coe. The Kohawks are 2-2 and coach Eric Rayburn says slowing down Wartburg running back Justin Beatty is a priority.
Rayburn says as the offensive line matures, the Kohawks will put up better numbers. He says they’re inexperienced and that’s made it harder to run the football and protect the quarterback.
