Kids across the U-S join in saying the Pledge of Allegiance

October 12, 2001 By admin

Schoolkids across Iowa stood with their hands on their hearts and pledged support to America today.
Students from Bertha-Godfrey Elementary in Algona joined students across the nation at 1 p-m today to say the pledge of allegiance. U-S Secretary of Education, Rod Page, came up with the idea to have the nation’s 52-million schoolkids say the pledge all at once as a show of unity.
