Several nailed in Davenport prostitution sting

October 15, 2001 By admin

More than 130 people have been rounded up by Davenport police as part of a sting targeting cocaine and prostitution. Police say 30 local, state and federal officers carried out a sting operation Thursday through Saturday in the downtown, netting 66 arrests. Some female officers worked undercover as decoys. Authorities also have warrants for the arrest of — or have already arrested — another 65 people as part of a five-month undercover vice operation.
