UNI wins another big game

October 15, 2001 By admin

Northern Iowa stayed perfect in the Gateway Conference race with a 19-14 victory over Southern Illinois in the Panthers homecoming games. U-N-I coach Mark Farley was happy with the way his team handled Southern’s no-huddle offense. He says they knew they were going to face some adversity and were able to meet it head on. Farley says Southern’s defense kept the game close with a great game plan.
U-N-I is 5-1 overall.
