Sioux City hospital to build heart center

October 17, 2001 By admin

A western Iowa hospital hopes to increase its national reputation for cardiac care with a new heart center. The president of Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City made the announcement.
Mercy president Peter Makowski says the new facility will include a multi-story medical building.
An independent study recognized Mercy as one of the top 100 cardiovascular care centers in the U-S. Construction on the new heart center will begin later this year and should be complete by the summer of 2003.
