A high school football player joined an elite group Friday night. John McLaughlin, a senior running back for Rockwell/Swaledale High School, became the third Iowan ever to break the six thousand career yardage mark. Coach Ryan Behr was sure McLaughlin would get the record as they planned on giving him enough carries to get the record. The game was stopped and he was given the game ball. Behr says it was a pretty special ceremony.
