An Oelwein railcar refurbishing business is being fined after the deaths of two workers in August.
OSHA investigators have imposed 29 violations against Transco Railcar Incorporated along with fines of 90-thousand dollars. 49-year-old John Woodson and 46-year-old Danial Steil died after collapsing inside a tanker car. Both died of breathing nitrogen. The company is accused of several infractions, including not providing proper breathing equipment and inadequate training. The company plans to appeal.
