A new early childhood facility is being built in Western Iowa’s Crawford County with the help of various fundraisers. About 80-percent of the needed one-point-one million dollars has been raised so far. State Representative Clarence Hoffman, a republican from Charter Oak, says he’s pleased so many factions of the community are rallying around this effort.
Denison school superintendent Dr. Bill Wright is particularly pleased the area’s Hispanic community has pledged to raise 100-thousand dollars of the money that’s still needed.
The center is scheduled to open around New Year’s.
