Some medical experts are saying this could be a very harsh flu season. Cerro Gordo County Public Health Director Ron Osterholm says we’ll be dealing with different types of flu strains this year compared to those that hit last year.
Osterholm says it’s hard to say whether the flu season will be really harsh this winter. He says he’s heard both that it will be a tough season, and that it will not.
Osterholm reminds people the flu season lasts longer than October and November, so it’s not too late to get the flu shot.
Osterholm says there are lots of misnomers about flu shots. He says they can’t make you sick.
