UNI looks to bounce back from first conference loss

October 30, 2001 By admin

The Northern Iowa Panthers will look to bounce back from a shocking loss when they host Indiana State this weekend. U-N-I suffered its first Gateway Conference loss 42-14 to an Illinois State team that was winless on the season. Panther coach Mark Farley says they did not take the Redbirds lightly in preparing for them. He says they didn’t execute the plan with emotion. Farley says how they bounce back will say a lot about this team. He says they’re going to go back and work on what they do well. He says it’s good that they’re playing at home this week.
