Tractor-truck accident claims the life of Sumner man

A Sumner man was killed last night in an accident involving a tractor and a truck.The Iowa State Patrol says a tractor driven by 47-year-old Marvin Eckenrod was being pulled by a truck driven by his wife, 48-year-old Janet Eckenrod. The tractor apparently came around the truck, got tangled in the towing chain, and tipped over. Marvin Eckenrod was taken to the Sumner hospital where he died of injuries he received in the accident.
