Troubles continue for a Tama packing plant that closed its doors three months ago. The 30-thousand dollar November lease payments hadn’t been made, according to City Clerk Judy Welch, and property tax and utility bills are also unpaid. Assets have been frozen for Tama Pack and Valley Pride Packing in Norwalk, Wisconsin, both owned by Rick Stuart, and G-E Capital of Stanford, Connecticut, claims it’s owed more than 7-point-four million in loans by Tama Pack and 11-point-one million by Valley Pride. About 200 people were idled when Tama Pack closed unexpectedly on August 13, and 150 Wisconsin workers idled as the Valley Pride plant closed on the same date.
