November 10, 2001 By admin

The leaders of Iowa churches, synagogues, and mosques are being encouraged to talk about organ and tissue donation during this weekend’s services. Paul Sodders, a spokesman for the Iowa Donor Network, says this is the sixth annual “National Donor Sabbath.”Sodders says many folks have wondered whether organ and tissue donation squares with their faith.Sodders says you need to talk with your family if you’re interested in donating your tissues and organs for transplants that’ll sustain or improve the life of someone else once you die.The Iowa Donor Network is a non-profit group affiliated with the state’s hospitals.
