November 12, 2001 By admin

Over one hundred veterans gathered in Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium at 11 o’clock this morning to mark Veteran’s Day. Iowa Congressman Leonard Boswell, a 20-year Army veteran, was the keynote speaker.Boswell says he wishes we could “package up” the patriotism Americans feel today, fly it over to Afghanistan and “drop it on Osama bin Laden’s head.” Boswell says Americans have proven themselves on the battlefield time and time again, and will do so in this conflict.Boswell visited “Ground Zero” in New York City as families of the victims visited, too.Boswell says he felt a determination, that this country will not allow terrorists to get away with such a crime.
