Fredericksburg hopes to "Staker" a claim to the title

The state high school football championship games open this morning in the UNI-Dome with a class A matchup between fourth-ranked Fredricksburg and Clay Central-Everly. For Fredricksburg, it is their first-ever title game appearance. Fredricksburg coach Steve Staker says everything needs to click to win a championship.Staker says his program has taken off since the inception of district football. He says when he first started, they played in a conference with a lot of 3A schools, and now they play teams more at their level of competition.
