Cloudy skies are blanketing the state. There’s rain falling in many areas and freezing rain is falling north of Spencer. Snow is falling in the Estherville area. Estherville Streets Superintendent Bob Lowe sent out a snowplow and a sander truck shortly before seven this morning.Lowe says freezing rain fell before the snow.Lowe says there are 53 miles of streets in Estherville for his plows and sanders to cover. An inch of accumulation is expected in the Estherville area by tonight.
