Girl says medication made her a victim of sex abuse

November 28, 2001 By admin

A Davenport man is charged with molesting a 16-year-old girl who claims medication rendered her unable to say “no”. 54-year-old Robert Ray Sampson is charged with three counts of third-degree sexual abuse after allegedly performing sex acts on the girl three times since October 27th. The victim says she couldn’t defend herself in two of the cases because the prescription drug she’s on makes her tired. She says she does remember the third act, but went along with it out of fear. Sampson is in the Scott County Jail and is scheduled for an initial court appearance today. He’s also wanted in Virginia for possession of stolen property.
