Mayor of Delaware finally chosen

A small northeastern Iowa town finally has a new leader.Delaware has appointed a new mayor, nearly a month after the November 6th election ended in a tie — and both of the top candidates decided they didn’t want the job. Chris Roling has been appointed mayor by the city council. Incumbent mayor Edith Schnittjer and challenger Dennis Culbertson had tied. Schnittjer was chosen as the tie-breaker initially but later announced she planned to move away.
