December 6, 2001 By admin

A possible school abduction is under investigation in the Cedar Rapids suburb of Marion.Officials at Vernon Middle School believe a 12-year-old girl was kidnapped from school grounds yesterday. Marion police say the girl was found disoriented and lying in a yard about seven blocks away. The school went into “immediate lockdown” mode. The principal says on a typical day, all but two doors are locked. The unidentified student was taken to a hospital for observation.
