UNI volleyball team faces top-ranked Long Beach

December 6, 2001 By admin

The Northern Iowa volleyball team plays at Long Beach State tonight in the N-C-A-A tournament’s sweet sixteen. Long Beach is top ranked nationally and Panther coach Bobbi Peterson says the Panthers have a big test. She says they’re undefeated at 31-0 and have not been challenged against some of the other top teams in the country. Peterson says the Panthers are happy to still be in the running. Peterson says they have a very strong regional with U-C-L-A and Hawaii.
