ISU tries to release Iowa’s hold on wrestling series

Iowa and Iowa State will meet not only on the basketball court this weekend in Ames but the schools will also renew their legendary rivalry on the wrestling mat on Sunday. Iowa is fifth ranked and Iowa State is at number-six and Cyclone coach Bobby Douglas says it is part of a great weekend. He says it’s a nice way to start off the wrestling.Douglas says as always there will be a lot of drama surrounding the match. He says Iowa’s heavyweight is setting the world on fire, there are five matches which could be a toss up, and the chance to see Cael Sanderson, who Douglas calls possible the best wrestler ever.The Cyclones will be looking to end Iowa’s 27-match winning streak in the series.
