A Clinton man’s been convicted of first-degree murder. A Scott County jury reached the verdict in the trial of George Prentiss, accused of helping his uncle, Robert Jackson, stab Clinton bar manager Pamela Wiedner to death last January. Jackson’s serving life in prison for the murder. Prentiss’s trial was moved to Scott County because of the case’s high visibility. Prentiss also faces life in prison when he’s sentenced next month.
