Iowans better get their shovels and snowblowers ready. A cold front is headed toward the state which is expected to turn the current rain to snow late this afternoon and tonight. National Weather Service meteorologist Craig Cogil says the snow will move from west to east.Parts of northwestern Iowa got snow a few weeks ago, but Cogil says this is expected to be the biggest storm to hit the state yet this season. He says the first one-inch snowfall usually occurs in late November of early December.Cogil says what snow does fall likely won’t be sticking around long as the ground is warm and the air temperatures will be warming back up too.Parts of the state could see two-to-four inches accumulation by tomorrow.
