Iowans are further expanding their reputation for saying “please” and “thank you” among other courtesies.Two Iowa metro areas rank in the top ten of this year’s list of best-mannered cities. The Quad Cities are number-four while Omaha-Council Bluffs ranks number-eight. Etiquette maven Marjabelle Young Stewart says the annual list is based on thousands of letters, faxes and e-mails sent to her from travelers and residents. On this latest list, New York City and Charleston, South Carolina are tied for number-one. Milwaukee is third and the rest of the top ten runs: Chicago, Portland (Oregon), Providence, Orlando and Miami.
